As much as he would have loved to have stood on the field as the victor, the signs are clear. The numbers have turned against them and they find themselves hurting and outnumbered, with their leader on the ground. Llwelyn had done his best to rally, but a wise commander knew when to fight another day.

"Yield! We yield!"

[Simon IV de Montfort]

Simon hears the call to yield. He keeps his guard up nontheless, willing to strike against Hubert should he do the same. He calls to the King from his guarded position.

"Your Majesty, the other side has yielded. shall we accept it?"

[King Richard Lionheart]

Richard at first doesn't hear over the pounding in his ears, but Simon de Montfort's timely call for his attention breaks through.

"Huh? Right, yielding." He looks around, noticing the blood arcing out of William of Salisbury's gorget. "Yeah, probably best. Alright, everybody, knock it off!" he roars.

[Geoffrey of Tournemine]

With the battle called, Geoffrey rises. He was disappointed in himself, but he wanted to make sure the wounded got the care they needed. He helped the wounded to medical care and the tent as appropriate.

[Robert Whitehands]

Whitehands nods respectfully at Llewellyn, knowing the wounded young man might well have been killed facing him and Redvers both. "Wise decision sir," Earl Beaumont says with notable respect in his voice. He nods again and turns to ensure his interests are respected in the final accounting.

"Your majesty," he calls to Richard, and he stays mention of the ransoms when he sees his friend looking a bit out of sorts. He speaks briefly with the king, making sure the man is well after the close-run battle. Finally, convinced Richard is broadly fine, Whitehands reminds him, "And it was quite a thing, wasn't it? I flatten Mandeville, then all of a sudden I'm at my friend's side," he says, clapping the king on his armored shoulder. "Got the Scottish king down - critical to that, of course, when he's such a beast in combat - but that's the kind of thing one has to do, showing strong in honor of my glorious king."

"It was nicely done, Whitehands," King Richard acknowledges. "And your years of faithful service to me will be remembered, that much I can assure you. I must say the Earl of Chester made a good showing of himself as well. And that Welshman who stepped in for the King of Scotland. I think...yes, I think he's the fella that was bending my ear last night!"

[Llywelyn mab Iorwerth]

"King Richard" Llwelyn places the flat of his sword in his hands. "By all rights, someone more worthy would be standing here before you. While it is never pleasant to admit defeat, we have offered our best and you have prevailed. "

Llwelyn offers his sword to Richard in surrender

[King Richard Lionheart]

"Keep your sword, Welshman. You've earned it, standing firm as you did against the greatest warriors among my Earls."

He pauses. "And take the falcon, too, in light of your courage."

[Llywelyn mab Iorwerth]

Llywelyn dips in a bow and sheathes his sword. "How offer an incredible gift your Highness. How could I say no? If it pleases you, I will make it my Coat of Arms."

Richard's eyes widen slightly. "Alright, sounds like a plan. Great!"
