by Cearnach
Participants: This is a Roleplay Event for up to 3 characters.
There has been some activity outside the palace for the last hour as stable boys rush to prepare three horses. Characters who wish to participate must post a successful Recognize roll to recognize the King's Horse and the opportunity it represents.
In a few moments, King Richard, William Marshal, and William de Longchamp are seen to exit the palace and mount up. Richard and Longchamp seem to be discussing something quietly, the Marshal stares eastward, waiting glumly for the signal to move out.

"Your majesty, Sirs,"
Simon greeted the three in kind from atop his hunting horse, his usual tone of iron on full display,
"
Forgive me if this in err, but is everything alright? When I saw your horses I feared something was amiss and came to offer my assistance."

The King blinks from atop his steed and replies with a question. "Alright?" As though he has no idea as to what you could be referring.

It is Longchamp that gives you a more direct response.
"Just seeing to a bit of business in London."

And then the Marshal.
"One more for the road couldn't hurt, London being what it is." He looks over at you. "Know how to handle yourself, do you, lad?"

The Baron nodded.
"Yes, Sir - if it matters, I'm primarily versed in the sword. I hope this armour isn't too much?"

The Marshal shakes his head. "Not at all. You'll fit right in, where we're going."

by King Richard Lionheart
Richard is already staring straight ahead. Not for the first time, you notice that the king's leg is rhythmically bouncing in its stirrup. It seems that he is unable to remain still.
"Yes," he rumbles, and then kicks his steed into motion. The others follow suit, with the Marshal giving you a friendly sort of smile as he motions for you to come along.
