"God save King Richard!"
The scribbling continues.
A sketch of a bat enters the margins, hastily.

Re: [D1, LA] The Coronation of Richard Lionheart
Henry had chanted with the monks, well-educated in the Latin hymns by the Cistercians of Pforta, seeing the ceremony less through the lenses of a political grandeur, but of a holy rite. Here, the Christian order was reaffirmed, all men and women congregating to follow the dicta of God so that our life on Earth would be in semblance to the Heavenly one, and to it - a preparation. He was not one easily swayed by riches, and in Richard he saw the pinnacle of pious fervour, a knightly dedication to answer the will of God. Such men shall rule, certainly. His thoughts went briefly to his uncle Mieszko and his bishop half-brother Jarosław, whose conniving natures were in stark contrast to the ideal.
He vivat'ed Richard with conviction, in Latin.
