Having sent an invitation, earlier in the day, not long after he got the news from Richard, he had set out to start working on things that he could. There was much that would need to be done. And he needed to do it before an angry Scottish king made a decision to march on his new home. One of the things that he wanted to do was to bring in resources that others were not so enthusiastic about in general. To that end, he asked Miriam to join him to see about expanding his understanding and connecting with her community.

And so he waited, hopeful that she would accept the invitation.
